Video: Impala Ambushed by Leopard
There’s an extreme view out there that all animals, whether domesticated pets or zoo animals born in captivity, should be released into the wild. They would all live in harmony and sing ‘Hakuna Matata’ together twice a day.
In real life, animals in the wild don’t follow that script.
Several adventurers on a nature tour in South Africa were witnesses to a true lesson of survival at the MalaMala Game Reserve. A herd of skittish impalas broke into a sprint as they crossed a road unaware that a leopard was waiting patiently in the grass on the other side. An impala and the leopard met in mid-air, and according to one of the tourists “It was over in a flash.”
