FC RELEASES MAY RANKING FOR 2014 NHL DRAFT

CALGARY, AB — The eligibles are holding strong.

May’s draft ranking from Future Considerations didn’t feature any form of shuffling at the top end, with only Oshawa’s Michael Dal Colle marking his return to the top-5.

For Aaron Ekblad, Sam Reinhart, Sam Bennet and William Nylander, there was no movement.

Barrie’s Ekblad has retained his top position for the 2014 NHL Draft while Reinhart, a standout in Kootenay’s playoff run, holds his spot as the top forward at No. 2. Bennett held at three while Nylander, the top-ranked European, maintains at No. 4.

Falling eight spots is Windsor’s Josh Ho Sang, whose season ended with a 15-game suspension after a hit-from-behind in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs.

Making their returns to the top-30 is the Linkoping’s Jakub Vrana (No. 25) and Anthony DeAngelo of the Sarnia Sting.
