Horse, Dancers Compete for OPI [VIDEO]
Last month we told you about a four-man turntablist crew from France called C2C which had released their first album called “Tetra.” Seems that those in the advertising world have taken notice of the group.
The folks at Dr. Pepper have just released their “Always One of a Kind” campaign for 2013 featuring ordinary people with C2C’s song “Down the Road” providing the audio track. The “/1” imaging in the commercial represents one-of-one meaning that there’s no one else like you.
The C2C tune was also used in a very unique short film/commercial that features a beautiful horse called “Lady in Black” in a dance-off with four dancers. The ad called “Instinct of Color” was created for the nail polish company OPI. The dancers, and the horse were shown wearing the brand’s popular lacquers, namely, “Pink-ing of You,” “Red My Fortune Cookie,” “Need Sunglasses?,” and “No Room for the Blues.”
We’re told that all of the dancers moves and most of the horse’s steps are authentic.
“With a trained thoroughbred who could replicate the dancers’ moves with very little digital enhancement, we were able to capture the unique, energetic, and creative culture that epitomizes the OPI brand.” — OPI executive vice president and artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann
The commercial won three golds and a silver awards at the recent Cristal Festival.
