by Amy Johnson, Managing Editor, HockeyPub.com
PHILADELPHIA, PA — It’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend and pubs everywhere will be serving up lots of corned beef and cabbage, colcannon, and pint after pint of Guinness and green beer. Well lads and lassies, here at Hockey Pub we’ve got a crisp, classic cocktail guaranteed to quench the thirst of your inner leprechaun!
A “buck” (sometimes referred to as a “mule”) is the traditional name for a cocktail made with three basic ingredients: a base liquor, ginger ale, and a citrus juice. Popular versions are the rum buck, gin buck, and a vodka buck – aka the “Moscow Mule”. But on this particular holiday, it’s the Irish Buck that’s got our attention. So what are you waiting for? Mix one up! Who knows, maybe it’ll lead you to your pot of gold!
