Flyers Zolnierczyk Facing Disciplinary Hearing for Huge Hit [VIDEO]
Philadelphia Flyers forward Harry Zolnierczyk is scheduled for a phone hearing on Sunday afternoon with NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan after his dangerous check on Ottawa Senators defenseman Mike Lundin. Zolnierczyk received a five minute major for charging, a 10-minute misconduct and a game misconduct for the massive hit. Lundin did not return to Saturday’s game and was suffering from concussion symptoms according to Senators head coach Paul MacLean.
Zolnierczyk has been far from an angel since being called up from the Adirondack Phantoms on February 12. Earlier this week the NHL rescinded a five-minute major that Harry Z received for kneeing Washington Capitals forward Mathieu Perreault.
Have a look at the hit and weigh in on what you think Zolnierczyk’s punishment should be.
