It was a very emotional night in Boston on Wednesday prior to the game between the Bruins and the Buffalo Sabres just two days after the terrorist attack during the running of the Boston Marathon. Alongside the Boston Fire Department Color Guard, anthem singer Rene Rancourt backed away from the mic, turning the singing over to the TD Garden fans.
Following the game, on the suggestion by Buffalo’s Tomas Vanek, both the Bruins and Sabres met at center ice to salute the fans.
The Sabres won the game 3-2 in a shootout.
Also included for your viewing is the video of tribute to the victims of the Boston Marathon presented by the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres.
